Anthony Horrocks - Welcome to the Team!
A warm welcome to our new Property Executive Anthony Horrocks who joined the RDC team in June!
Anthony is our new addition to the Property department and will be based at the Bingley Office. We had a catch up with Anthony to find out a little bit more about him…
Q - First of all, how are you settling in at RDC?
Pretty good. Everyone seems really nice and friendly and I’m now getting used to Peter’s sense of humour. I’m also loving my short and comfortable commute to Bingley in the opposite direction to the overcrowded trains I used to take to Leeds.
Q - What experience do you have in Residential Conveyancing?
I have around 14 years’ experience in conveyancing. I began my career in re-mortgaging and progressed to sale and purchase transactions, which I’ve been doing for the last 8-9 years. I’ve dealt with most types of property matters within that time.
Q - What do you love about your job?
I like helping people. I think it is in my nature. I get great satisfaction from assisting them at what can be a very stressful time and ensuring that they acquire property which is just right for them.
Q - What do you do in your spare time?
As the father of two young sons I am kept busy. We enjoy playing football, swimming, cycling and walking. We like nothing better than to go off camping when the weather is nice. I also always seem to have some sort of DIY project on the go!
Q - If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Myself and my family are nature lovers and like to spend as much time as possible outdoors. Somewhere like New Zealand would be great. I have a cousin who lives there so a visit to test the waters is long overdue.
Q - Any secret hidden talents we should know about?
I used to swim for Yorkshire and England, although I’m a bit out of shape now!
Q - Who inspires you?
Ranulph Fiennes – he is cool and calm whatever might happen.
Q - What would be at the top of your “Bucket List?”
I would love to go to the Arctic and see the Aurora. Another one of my goals would be to fly in a fighter jet.
Q - What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Be prepared! Cub scouts motto! Then you can do anything!
Thank you for your time Anthony.
