Should I make a will?
The short answer is yes. If you do not make a will the statutory rules of intestacy determine who will inherit from your estate.
The rules may not do what you want to do for example if you are in a relationship but not married or in a civil partnership your partner will be entitled to nothing. Even if you are married or in a civil partnership your surviving spouse or partner may not revive as much as you would want them to.
Despite this only three in 10 people in the UK are said to have made a will. By preparing a will you can be certain that your wishes will be carried out after your death and that your loved ones will benefit from your assets in the way you would want them to.
Make sure that you are one of the three in 10 people who have made a will and contact RDC Solicitors to take the first step.
