Meet the team - Jo Dawson

Jo Dawson has worked for RDC Solicitors since 1985 and is currently working in the Wills, Trust, Tax and Probate Department. Over the years Jo has worked in various departments assisting both Solicitors and Partners.

Jo is also involved in the administrative side of the firm and plays an important role in our Lexcel accreditation.

What do you do when you’re not hard at work at RDC Solicitors?

My family is very important to me and I love spending as much time with them as I can.  I am very much looking forward to becoming a great grandma next summer.  When I get the chance I enjoy hot air ballooning and helicopter rides.

Do you have a favourite film?

Mamma Mia – The Movie.

What type of music do you like?

I love all kinds of music and have lots of favourite songs.  I do particularly like listening to my “Mamma Mia – The Movie” soundtrack  CD whilst driving.

If you had to eat the same 3 meals every day for the rest of your life, what would they be?

I would start the day with a full English breakfast, have a delicious Roast Chicken dinner and end the day with some fish and chips!

Which TV shows do you enjoy most?

Strictly Come Dancing and all the “soaps” 

What is the best holiday you have been on?

I love visiting London and enjoy the buzz and all of the sights.  A recent trip included a tour of the Houses of Parliament with afternoon tea in the House of Lords.  This was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone!  I also enjoy sunshine holidays where I can just chill in the sun with a book and a glass of wine.

I have a lovely memory of the time I met David Beckham at Manchester Airport when we were on our way to one of the Greek Islands.  As our camera was packed in the suitcase my husband ran off to purchase a disposable camera from the nearest shop.  When he returned there was I posing with Mr Beckham (who had his arm around me) and the picture was taken.  I was one happy person.  When we got home the film was developed but the photographs turned out to be just silhouettes.  The camera my husband purchased did not have a flash facility.  Need I say more?
